sertraline not working anymore

Welcome to HW. The more you read the previous posts, you'll see how common a topic this is for many of us. When our doctors start us on medications, or when they prescribe changes,...it can take our bodies a bit of an adjustment period.

In that adjustment period, it is not uncommon for our symptoms to briefly get a little worse before they get better.

I am not personally familiar with Zoloft, but I know we have many members here who are, so hopefully they will jump into the conversation and share their experience.

Yes, give your new dose a couple of weeks at least. Ususally the s/e's are not as sever/long lasting with a bump, as they are with a start up.

Hopefully, this adjustment will be just the thing that you need. However, considering the amount of time that you have been on this med...and the fact that its efficacy was starting to wane... you may just keep an eye out for the possibility that your med has lost effectiveness (tachyphylaxis).

Trying the bump in dosing however is definitely a good first step though...and I wish you the best with it!
