So I have had chest pain before this is in the center of my chest and its a burning feeling. I'm not sure if its acid reflux or what but its really scaring me! I had an echo last year and I've had ecgs done before. I don't want to go to the er but in the back of my mind I'm like what if......could really use some prayers and good energy right about
now.....oh and the pain has come and gone since last night...and when it goes away its not for long.

Hi Melz.,
How are you feeling now? Did you try an OTC for heartburn/reflux?
It sounds like that is what it could likely be.
If it persists after taking something like Tums/Rolaids or Mylanta...you can certainly give your doctor a call for reassurance...but I am sure that you are going to be fine.:)
I hope you are feeling better soon!

Well I'm feeling better today!! Last night I paced my house and had a panic attack then I prayed lol....I laid down after and after that I could feel my stomach acid creeping up to the back of my throat so that just told me the burning in my chest was more than likely a flair up of GERD. Its been so long since I've had problems with it and the thing that gets me is that the symptoms change. Its like the pains or burning is never the same so I instantly think I'm having a heart attack. However if it gets bad again or if there are more symptoms with the pain or burning I'll definitely go to the ER. Being a nurse I've seen it all we had a woman come in with a toothache and she was having a heart attack. (Not meant to scare anyone!!) Woman just have different symptoms and that's what scares me!

Melz.,
I am glad that you are feeling better.:)

too much information being a dangerous thing...
Lol!
I hope that you have peaceful rest of the weekend!
