Just wanted to give yall a update on last doc appointment

I think my doctor's appointment went fairly well. It was detailed and long but it was worth it. I told him that the lexapro wasn't exactly cutting it and I don't want to get addicted to klonopin. I also have been having severe problems concentrating and studying for the past several years and have just now mentioned it to my doctor. He ended up giving me a adult adhd questionaire and I scored very similar to a person who has adhd. My doctor then said it is common for people with anxiety to have adhd.

He perscribed me a stimulant for that and I have to say I think that is what I have been missing. It helps me focus and stay on task.

It really makes sense becuase what causes anxious thoughts in me is having too much free time to roam the internet and think about every physical ache and pain in the book. With this I don't feel like I have to do that anymore. The doctor said to keep taking the lexapro and klonopin on a as needed basis. I was a little worried being on a stimulant and a benzo but after research it seems to be a common practice.

No negative side effects of the adhd medication expect insonmia. I will find a way to get past that. I can take a few nights of sleeplessness for how good I am feeling physically and emotionally.
