Sorry I haven't posted in here for a while, I have been doing incredibly well, until this morning. As I type I am suffering from a very severe panic attack, which seemed to be triggered by my son being very very loud playing xbox live, yes maybe that sounds silly but when I wake up in the morning I have a routine and I like some peace and quiet in the morning. I tend to believe I do have a touch of OCD because when things are out of routine I can get very irritated and antsy. I know the lexapro has helped very much, because I haven't had this severe of a panic attack in sometimes, but they are SO very scary, this one I am weak, lethargic sick to my stomach and incredibly irritable. I wish I could describe how I feel in words, but I can't, apparently though when I am have a really bad panic attack you can see it on my face because my son noticed right away. I only took .5 mg of a xanax and I am prescribed 1mg, maybe I should have taken the entire pill?

I go through what you are going through a lot. I always come through the other side eventually though. Hang in there and ask your son to turn down the volume.

I was just discussing this same thing awhile ago..fast music, certain movies, etc. Sometimes seem to make my anxiety heightened. I also had more panic recently, because I have to take a different route to work. I also don't like having to mess up my routine, in certain parts of my life. Good luck to you. Hope you get through this soon.

BB,
Are you feeling any better yet? I hope so...that you could use your coping skills to find some relaxation and 'reset' your state of being...body and mind, to a calm place!
Wishing you a better rest of today!!

Thank you all, yes right after I wrote the message I started feeling so much better(probably helped that my son was in bed) Sometimes I think it just helps me to write to others that understand what I am going through, very therapeutic. Thank you for your support!

I'm glad you're doing better Brenda. I think you are right - sometimes just writing here or in a journal, getting your issues off your chest, really helps. I too find it helpful and therapeutic.
