I had one "rush" of localized pain last july in my heart area. Lasted a few seconds. I had been having little minor chest pains for some time.
The second pain was to the right of the last one, again, a few seconds, and both freaked me out bad.
After several tests: My heart is fine, but I never had a full blown all out freaking crying thinking I am going to die panic attack before that because it SEEMED POSITIVE I had heart attack symptoms... What else? I'd never heard anxiety could mimic heart attack pain.
So I guess it was anxiety.... After reading how many suffer from chest pains that turn out to be anxiety, I can only conclude...
Since my tests oh yes, UNINSURED trip to the ER and stay in the hospital, BIG MONEY paid for it, my chest pains stopped, and any time I have a tiny one, I think of the cost and they go right away. lol.. No kidding. I was freaked out that I had financially ruined myself, so screw the chest pains, it's FROM ANXIETY but what an expensive lesson that was.
*Edited to add: If anyone is having chest pains and thinks it is serious, call 911 or go to the ER. I didn't know it was anxiety until I had my heart checked out. I just wish I had known BEFORE I had to spend a fortune....
