Can anyone get withdrawal symptoms...

...when they come off an AD? Or is there a certain time frame that these things follow? Reason I ask, I am almost at 2 weeks on Celexa 10mg. But I dont think I can keep on. At first, I thought it was helping with my anxiety, but I can honestly say I am not sure. One thing it is doing is making me extremely lethargic.

I took them in the morning for the 1st week and an hour after taking them id be out for 4-5 hours. My days were completely shot, sleeping all day. So last Saturday, I switched to evening. All day Saturday I felt great, I assume because I didnt take my morning pill. Sunday, Monday, and now today the lethargy is back, exactly the same taking the pill at night or morning. My days are spent waking up, an hour later back on the couch all day.

I am off work on short term disability 'til these meds figure out, but I GOT THINGS TO DO HERE AT THE HOUSE! Whether Celexa is actually doing anything to combat my anxiety and helping calm the vagus nerve im not sure, but I cant take sleeping all night and all day!

Since its only been short of 2 weeks, will there be any type of withdrawal from stopping Celexa? I have Xanax, and actually a few Ativan here(though Ativan makes me tired too) that I use for the panic attacks.

I Hibee, sounds good. What do you think if I took tonights dose and cut it in half to 5mg and see how tomorrow goes? Or do you think I should just call my doc and see about getting off?

I'd encourage you to ask your doc about this. Most of these meds take several weeks to take effect and the start ups are always dreadful. Or at least usually so. Getting through that rough spot is tough.

However, if you do indeed decide with your doc to come off the med, discuss with them how to taper down. Always best than stopping cold turkey.
