Gave me ativan and sent me home really??????

I went 2 ER which I haven't dun n years but I guess anxiety wins as usual. He asked a few questions n gave me ativan n ask me was I better is this how doctors do when dey kno wat it is or was he just brushing me off???? Just a thought . Haven't heard from my doctor to see should I continue to take Zoloft ever though da side effects had me crazy as hell just need the right meds 😢😢

As far as my experience with ER visits and panic attacks, you are lucky he gave you ativan, the ER can do very little when it comes to depression/anxiety, unless you are having such issues that they are worried that you may need to go in patient.

My ER once gave me Benadryl through an Iv for a sever panic attack, if benadryl was the answer to relieving my panic issues I would have a whole cupboard filled with them, but the make me more panicky and never can sleep on them.

8 days haven't took one 2day waiting on my doctor 2 call bck

It really sounds like your fighting the side effects right now. It can take up to three weeks for the side effects to calm down. I also get tons of anxiety on start ups.

I was so scared didn't feel like myself yesterday BP was 160/95 never seen it dat high scared me even more Deborah scinder

I hope that you can get in to consult with your doctor as soon as you can.

The ER docs really can't do much...they are a get in/get out type of set up, really. They don't know your history, and don't plan on seeing you again...so they are pretty limited.

Your GP will be the one who can assess your situation best, and help you in how you will proceed.

Your BP was likely taken in the midst of a panic attack...and therefore is naturally going to be high when you are so anxious.

If it falls to normal levels when you are more relaxed, then I am sure you have nothing to worry about. Run this by your doctor when you next go in though.

I just checked my b/P @ cvs pharmacy it was 151/98 why I'm feeling ok just dnt make since now I'm started 2 worry more cause it's up thinking I could have a heart attack or stroke but I guess it's not high enough for that but anyway I'm really not njoying this one bit

I don't trust those machines in the pharmacy or stores...

I would let your doctor evaluate your BP and just follow whatever advice he/she has.:)

The less you worry about it the better. Go in and see what your MD has to say, okay?
