I have had GERD all my life, I thought it was just the way people were, my Father died
from bleeding ulcers, so it may be hereditary in my case.
about
20 years ago I was in the hospital for stomach problems they ran a scope down into
my system, I had much erosion, the doctor put me on Prilosec and within three days my
gurd was gone, I switched myself to Nexium otc and if anything they are better, there is
no sense living with this horrible condition, it can cause damage. For those who are interested they are about
24 dollars at Sam's Club for a 42 day supply, this is one problem
you can eliminate for yourself. peace

Cilly,
Have you checked in with our GERD forum? Anxiety and GERD do often go hand in hand...so you will likely be hearing from others here, but it doesn't hurt to talk to those who really know what you are going through over there as well.:)
Does your doctor have you on a PPI? Dietary adujustments for relief?

S.C. beat me to it!
Have a look-see in our GERD forum.
I'm one of the (many) folks here with anxiety that also have GERD. The symptoms you describe,...yep, I'm familiar with them. Sure, I wish I wasn't, but heck, they're a part of my life now.
The symptoms can be managed.....
M.
