Celexa for GAD?

Hello all -

My new psychiatrist just put me on Celexa for generalized anxiety disorder. I'm only on day 3, and I know that everyone's experience is different with medications, but I'm really looking for some good news.

Has anyone taken Celexa for anxiety/depression and has good news to report? I used to take Zoloft but I think after a while it kind of stopped working and I just felt really numb all of the time.

Anyone taking Celexa's thoughts would be appreciated... I'm just reaching out. Thanks!

Hi, Kattie!
I have never been on Celexa, but did have Zoloft to stop working for me. I did some googling on Celexa and most patients have very positive things to say about it! So be sure to give it a fair chance! i know that when I was changed from Zoloft to Paxil, I didn't think that the Paxil was going to ever take effect, but it did and it worked great for me for 8 years! Now I have recently been put on Prozac. It's a process as we go along, but it's better than the alternative of being anxious all the time! I have GAD too and it's miserable without treatment!

I have heard good things about Celexa from many members. I do hope that it is a great match for you!!

Hopefully you will be hearing from those who have been on it, or are currently using this med...and get some input soon.
