Does anyone else skip taking their meds sometimes?

I take  my Prozac at night and sometimes I skip, it doesn't happen a lot, usually if I get home late and just want to go straight to bed. It never seems to bother me, anyone else?

Hi

It is best not to skip your medication as it can sometimes cause withdrawal effects you have been lucky as you are taking prozac which has a long shelf life but I would recommend not missing a dose.

Hey. I try not to miss a dose. I take one medication with breakfast and another before bed. The morning med I sometimes take hours late, but I always take it. The bed time med isn't hard for me to forget because I take it along with my asthma med which I know if I miss won't be a good thing. I wouldn't recommend missing doses because it can have bad side effects.

Deborah my wife has taken Prozac for many years, on occasion
she will forget it, she just takes it next regular time, never seems
to cause a problem. "my guess is worrying about a missed dose
is worse than the actual missed dose". Peace

No. Not even once. But I have a med regimen and so it is harder to 'forget'.

Deborah, if you were on anything but Prozac, you wouldn't forget lol. Like Hibee said, Prozac has a long "shelf life" and does not cause the discontinuation side effects like all of the others. Missing a dose of your Prozac, you likely will never have a side effect but it's not recommended of course lol nono

In my 6 yrs on AD's consistently, I've missed maybe 2 doses by mistake. Both times I knew bc the next day, I had "swishy sounds" when I moved my eyes. I didn't know what it was and told my friend and she's like "did you miss your AD bc that's exactly what happens when I miss mine." Sure enough, I had!

Now I never miss a dose bc I don't need 'no weird side effects that would increase my anxiety smilewinkgrin

No way! I KNOW when I'm not taking my dose! I feel it pretty quickly! Of course, I take mine around 12:30 pm and if I do not take it by 1:30 pm, I start feeling "off", which is NOT good!
