I'm quite familiar as well with......"what are the odds?!" Story of my life! You're so not alone!
That being said, I really wouldn't worry about it. I can see where you'd feel a little awkward given that conversation (it is quite the story, and you can even choose to laugh about it a little,....that can help!)
I've swapped providers within the same facility before. It's nothing personal. I mean, it is, but not for them. It is for us. What's important is that you have a good fit.
Back in my original foray into getting into therapy, after two sessions with one therapist, I switched to the only other therapist in that very same office building. It happens, and as therapists, they are accustomed to the importance of "the right fit."
