What you are talking about
is what I call "Godly peace and Godly contentment". I put my hope in Christ (not to throw my religion in your face, that's not what I intend on doing). When the fear takes over I throw myself in His word. Or I come on here and I see all the strength and encouragement. And if I tilt my head just right, I can see a glimpse of a wee little light at the end of a long dark tunnel and for a second the fear is gone.
Something I heard not too long ago is that "we shouldn't tell God how big our fear is but rather tell our fear how big our God is". This has brought me much comfort.
I think if we can maintain good honest attitudes and a glimmer of hope then one day we will wake up and the fear will be gone. Make the best out of the days God has given you. And on the really bad days remember that we would never experience the rainbow if it wasn't for the rain!
God bless you!
