Anyone ever take Lamictal and while increasing, it amped up anxiety? I was on 25mg for 2 weeks then 50mg for 2 weeks and now 75mg for just 4 days. Haven't had a panic attack in awhile now and morning anxiety had been quelled for a few months. Last day or 2, Ive had increased anxiety/agitation and had to take my xanax first thing in the morning yesterday and today.
The only change in my regime is increasing the lamictal to 75mg, 5 days ago.
Thanks for any input! Will be callin psych today to ask about
this.

Unfortunatly I don't have any experience with lamictal. But I ado know that if the increase dose is causing you excess anxiety then you may want to go back to your regular dose if your doctor is okay with this.
After you talk to your therapist let us know how it goes? Have a stress free day!
God bless!

LS,
I don't have any practical advice on this either...have you checked in with the Depression or BP forum yet? You could get some responses there as well, as this med has covers these in the spectrum of indications/uses...
I do send my support, encouragement...and hope that you get to talk to your P-doc today and get some guidance!

When I started Lamictal my anxiety increased for a couple of weeks. I have read that the same thing will happen if you increase the dosage. The docs all say to struggle through but I think the Xanax can help short term.

Yes, TGIF. I woke up nervous as usual, but was able to avoid taking my Attivan. I remained nervous all day but just uncomfortable.
