I'm so glad I found this site and community. I would like to share what I've learned about
anxiety in the hopes it will help other new members.
- Anxiety can develop in anyone, at any point in your life
- Anxiety can have a very wide array of physical symptoms, some of which overlap with serious medical conditions, as such you should always consult medical professional to rule out anything serious
- Anxiety / Panic attacks come be brought on be a stressful situation, or simply come out of no where for what appears to be no apparent reason
- Anxiety / Panic attacks can occur during sleep
- Trusting your doctors is important to controlling anxiety, trust your doctors and the test results
- Be honest with your doctor, no matter how embarrassing you think it is, your doctor cannot help you if you don't let them know whats going on
- Do not Google symptoms, conditions, side effects, etc. It will only make your anxiety worse and create new worries
- Do not constantly take your pulse and/or blood pressure, seeing an unusual or high reading make only increase your anxiety, or the act of simply taking your blood pressure or pulse can increase anxiety
- Most people will not understand your condition and struggles, they will say stop worrying, your making yourself anxious, they don't understand its an anxiety disorder because you can't control it
- If self help methods are not effective, therapy and medication can help
- You are not alone, all kinds of people suffer from Anxiety, and it is becoming more common with the pressures of modern society
- Finding a support group will help and assure you your not alone
- Staying busy and occupied can help keep anxious feelings and thoughts at bay
- Exercise can help reduce stress and anxiety
- Be careful about
natural herbs for treating anxiety as they can interact with other medications you may be taking

Awesome!! That is some really good stuff! All of us needs to print that off and hang it somewhere where we can see it everyday as a gentle reminder of how to deal with this disorder.
Thanks for sharing! I say it all the time - knowledge it power!
