Did your trainer understand how deconditioned you are/were? (Remember, personal trainer here, or least I was until a number of health issues took that joy from me, but I still 'function' as one, if that makes sense).
It's not uncommon for people to be more symptomatic after a trainer gets through with you because often, what we recommend tends to be in a specific order/progression (etc.) that most are unaccustomed to and with. The shaking is absolutely, totally, perfectly normal. Expect it to happen again.
Make sure you eat 45-60 minutes before you work out (balanced, light). And make sure you eat some good protein and balanced food after your workout (within the hour). It goes away! This, too, shall pass!!
