I usually recommend Boost or Ensure shakes when solid food just is not tolerated or desired...
...they give the needed calories and nutrients, and are easy to sip and keep down.:)
If things are settled enough, and you can handle a meal...
...generally a good balanced diet with lean protien, complex carbs, veggies and fruits of course, lean dairy and omega fatty acids is a great plan for eating for a calm state.
