K.,
I used to get either hot or cold when I had attacks as well. A panic attack is definitely a physiological response...so we therefore can experience all sorts of physical sensations.
Use of coping skills.like the ones in our Resources can help. Practicing breathing, meditation and progressive muscle relaxation (to name a few) daily can make a big impact on our anxious management. (Resources can be found on the main page, 1st thread if you've not yet checked it out)
Also you mentioned expressing thoughts and emotions...have you tried journaling? This is a great step for recovery, and helps to process the things we experience and feel with our anxiety.:)
Keep posting and let us know how you are doing soon, okay?
