Has anyone had anxiety or panic attacks with a non epileptic type seizure and loud noises appear to trigger? Looking for answers cause doctors are saying seizure like activity is a fake.

My mother had what they call pseudeo seizures when I was a baby, they said it was from stress.

I'm not exactly sure if this is what you're talking about
, but bright flashing lights and loud pulsating noises bring on anxiety and panic attacks for me. I don't have seizures but i've often times wondered if the flashing lights or noise could ever trigger one someday. That's a huge fear of mine! Also, weird patterns bring on my anxiety..I hate looking at someone if they're wearing a striped shirt or something with an odd design on it.

This is my daughter in law that this has started to happen to but after she had got clinked on the side of her head at work. Never had problems before this , but MRI , ct scan, EEG showed negative, she has been told she's faking them, but believe me what goes on is not fake.

Anxiety sufferers are also quick to spook, and have very non specific symptoms that may emulate epilepsy like symptoms but it's not seizures. It's just anxiety

So then where do we go from here ? Work comp then has stopped and her job won't let her come back till no "seizure like activities" which triggers from loud noises and headache on the side she was hit. Single mom, no income and as of right now no insurance. Thinking about
taking her to a Doctor to try and see if thèy would prescribe an anxiety medicine. Any suggestions ?

Tg,
Hello and welcome....although I am sorry to hear about
the situation with your daughter in law.
Since she was injured, has she seen a specialist? Or was this an emergency/workers comp dr.? Did they rule out a concussion?
I really think she needs to be seen again, as this could be an ongoing issue neurologically that requires attention.
If cost is an issue, finding a low cost clinic or county/government hospital will be a priority. ..but get her in! Her health is worth it!
Beat wishes!
