Hi Melibu,
First of all, have you ruled out any other possible reasons for the sensation you describe? Any new meds, food allergies that you know of, or possible reflux issues?
If not, and you are in good health...you can safely assume that this is an anxiety symptom. When we have more stressors than we are able to manage, our bodies will get our attention pretty quickly by sending us hints! These manifest in symptoms and panic, and ironically can cause us more stress...
...however, the purpose is to get our attention and prepare to do something about it. ;)
What, if anything have you, or are you doing for anxiety management? Therapy? Self-help techniques?
Remind me of what you are, or have done and I can better advise you with treatment options.:)
