Charmy,
Cortisol, a stress hormone is at its highest concerntration in the body upon awakening. Without it...we'd never get out of bed...it gets us up and moving.
However, too much or a sensitivity to it, and we have elevated anxiety in the a.m.
Just realizing this helped me to understand and accept the morning anxiety when was going through a similar struggles.
Upping your coping skills first thing in the morning should also help.:)
