Hi All


How are we all keeping today?

I went to a gig last night and had a great time really enjoyed it and even managed to bag some back stage passes so got to meet the band but lost the power of speech lol

LOL. Hope you don't me taking a bit of cheer in your backstage dilemma. I can see that happening to me, over and over. Best person to meet backstage for me has been Moby. Have you ever heard of him? He is such an awkward dude, so I could really mesh with that! :) I'm happy to hear you had a good time!

I can't believe it, but I have had an excellent night and sleep! My husband took all the kids to his parents for the night so I could catch a much needed break, and WOW. Just wow. I am really relaxing today. :D

Omg I do not know how I am surviving! The past few weeks, and months have been hectic! But I am trying to make some time during the day to do some meditation/relaxation so I can escape from the everyday madness! I remember it was you Hibee who advised me I should do that! So thank you. :)

So far so good in Ohio! I got a good night's sleep and now I'm at work for the next 7ish hours. Saturday's are normally pretty laid back so they go by pretty fast. I plan on doing some gaming when I get home and possibly watching a Christmas movie, either Elf or Christmas Vacation. Also expecting one of the more important gifts I ordered to arrive today so I'm anxious to see that and then to wrap it.

Yes I love Moby and had heard he is awkward the band I went to see last night was the Inspiral Carpets I have been a fan for years and felt fine as I was walking through to the backstage section but as soon as I met them I froze lol but managed to compose myself and pull it back from the brink.

I think I've been asked about the name before, and I don't believe I answered....short answer is yes. People in school used to call me that due to Saved by the Bell and I never minded it much as I thought it was funny. And yesss Christmas Vacation is a classic! Only wish we had a fireplace to turn on while watching it to really get in the spirit!

Fireplaces are nice. Pull up one as a screensaver to improvise? :)

Not a bad idea! I found a channel the other night that played video of a crackling fireplace with carols in the background that ran for about 6 hours, maybe I'll do that!

And no worries, I believe it was someone else that asked and I got sidetracked and couldn't answer, that's all!

@Hibee, oh that is so nice though! :D I have never heard of this band, but maybe I will take a listen! :D Happy Saturday! Though, I'm not sure what day it is in Scotland!!

After a lull in activity I'm glad to see people hitting up the daily thread again.

My day started out terrible when my son had a mini seizure attack during our 1st grade basketball game. We also got blown out so that didn't help. I think he was too stimulated by all the shouting and aggressive behavior. It's first grade basketball no need for the other team to full court press and foul. Let's just have fun!!!

So came home and went into a tailspin thinking I failed my son and his teammates by not preparing them properly. Panic attack soon followed. I got through it and ended up having a halfway decent night playing the new captain toad game with my son on wii u.

They were one of the main bands involved in the Madchester/Baggy music scene back in the early 90's I am a huge fan and run a fan page on Facebook which is how I got the backstage passes here is one of there tracks for you to have a listen.
