Today I had a half a cup of coffee and now I feel like I'm buzzing and scared.
I often blame food or drinks for my feelings of anxiety. I have no clue if they have any effect on me that fast. I am going to stop the coffee once again and see if it helps.
I'm happy I get to see my therapist today. I welcome new insights into this strange phase of my life.

Hi Tela,
A lot of people with anxiety have had to cut out caffeine, as any stimulant would cause them increased anxiety.
I also can't tell you how many posts I have read about
post energy drink consumption panic attacks...
Is is possible that you have food allergies/sensitivities or possible reflux/GERD? Either of these can bring a physical reaction along with anxious feelings.
Keeping a food diary (along with writing down your anxiey experiences associated with) could help.
I am really glad to hear that you are excited about
your therapy. That is awesome...and being invested in it will ensure that you make good progress! ;)
Keep up the good work, and keep us posted as to your progress.

Hi Tela
Yes coffee can have an effect on anxiety by increasing it so as SC mentioned a lot of people who suffer with anxiety give up caffeine.
Glad to hear you are doing some therapy I hope it goes well for you and you get a lot out of it.

Ya, I totally get that! Have fun at your therapist. I am hopeful to some day meet with a therapist. :D
And I too blame oh so many things for my anxiety. It seems to change every day... Right now I am blaming GMO's. :P Last week I was blaming the dust in my house. The week before that it was something else! Doesn't seem to end for me!

Just back from therapy---self worth and anxiety go hand in hand. I am learning how low self worth contribute to my anxiety. It's not just the coffee,,,although I will cut that out because it makes me jittery.

That is really interesting that self worth and anxiety go hand in hand. I learned something today. I don't see a therapist, so every little bit helps

I blame the coffee too. I dont know if its true but i have anxiety attacks on the day i have coffee or tea. Caffiene does effect your anxiety i guess. I left them. Unless its bery early in themorning and youre very sleepy, dont take coffee. Substitute it with chocolate milk or anything

Oh, it definitely can. I echo SC's sentiments.
