So tired of waking up just to feel nauseated all day. Am to the point that this sickness has taken over my life. Spent Christmas on the couch, unable to go anywhere because of feeling so sick. I lost my job in October due to being unable to work. Has anyone applied for Social Security Disablity? If so, how is is working out? I have been taking Xanax for about 14 yrs now and wondering if I shouldn't talk to the doctor about trying sometime else.

I filed for disability in 2012 and am in the process of federal appeal since the judge denied it and didn't even take the letter my doctor wrote into consideration. If you file for disability I suggest getting a social security lawyer from the start, it cost nothing if they don't win and they take the payment from you back pay, and can only take up to about $6,000.

I responded to your other post as well, so be sure and see that...

...but as far as S.S., yes...I do believe that you are entitled depending on your employment status...so inquire with your HR personnel

Also...looking into an alternative Rx and therapy for your anxiety management needs would be a worthwhile conversation to have with your doctor.
