I tend to use it as a motivation to make changes...so I would do exactly as you mentioned and find a new dentist.
...that is if this is something that is not normally a part of having the implants/dentures. I don't know a lot about this, but if this is an unusual amount of mishaps, then yeah...time to shop for a new DDS.
