I'm here at the doctor's for my stress test. I'm nervous, I'm not sure why. Need some good thoughts! Plus I'm worried I'm going to get the flu here too

Good luck! You'll do great! Is it a Cardiologist office?

MG.,
You'll do just fine! They will explain everything to you, and if you feel uncomfortable, you can ask to stop....although you may have to come back for a re-test...but you need to do what you are comfortable doing, bottom line.;)
Since you are not in the ER or urgent care...you are probably not going to be exposed to anything much...
...take some Vit C/zinc and do a neti pot rinse (if you have one) when you get home just in case.
Let us know how it goes!

Thanks everyone. I passed the test just fine. I had a few couplet pvcs during that freaked me out, but the nurses were super nice and reassured me they were normal. Actually, they were more than nice, they talked to me for a long time after and answered all my dumb questions. Is this pain in my back from my heart? No, it's muscle strain. Am I ok to exercise? Yes you are healthy. Are the pvcs dangerous? No, most people that have a stress test have them. One of the nurses even said she has anxiety and is on meds. They were very sweet to me.
It's in the cardiology dept of a hospital, so there's an urgent care here too. So Some chance of people w the flu, but need to not worry about
it.

Thanks everyone for checking in and for the support! Hazelnut- it was just a regular stress test.
I know that I should feel much better...I do and I don't. I'm working on convincing myself that they didn't miss anything and I'm ok. It's that voice in my head that doubts though. I've been walking the 5 flights of stairs between classes today (we get 10 min between each class - classes are from 8-5) and telling myself my heart is healthy and if I want to keep it that way I need to move and get some exercise!
I have an appt w a CBT therapist on 1/27. Hopefully that will help me to be able to train my brain to stop focusing and catastrophizing every time there is a chest flutter. :)
