Had the start of a really bad headache today, but caught it early with some medicine and thankfully the medicine didn't make me too anxious. There's snow moving in and with it is coming a second round of headache for me. I know I'm going to need more medication and it makes my heart insane. Feeling anxious, but miserable. I wish I could just take Advil and it would wipe this thing out. Straight up my neck and behind my left eyebrow. Miserable and nervous. I hate Monday's.

I do Larry, maybe I'll try it. I get pretty bad migraines when the weather changes and I've also had some major tension in my back and neck, so I think it's more that than sinuses, but I'll try anything.

Try a warm bath, some progressive muscle relaxation and s massage from your husband.

I've been doing some of the stretches my therapist showed me to relieve back and neck tension. I also have one of those neck roll things that you get at spas that you microwave, plus I have a heating pad on my upper back and an ice pack on my forehead. I look awesome. As for my husband.....might I just laugh out loud for a moment. There are countless numbers of things he is wonderful at....massage is not one of them. By choice I might add. ;-)

Got it ;p

My hubs is awesome at them...but often they lead, erm...hope shall we say?...and I feel bad if I am feeling so rotten and 'out of commission' so I don't end up asking...

The things you are doing sound great though...I forgot about the hot cold/combo... great idea!

This was a bad one. It's lingering, but I'd say at this point it's been downgraded from borderline migraine to just really tough headache. I'm hoping a good night of sleep with really kick it.

Do you take migraine meds?

Park, sinuses run completely around the skull and at the base of the skull, when they are giving you a bad
time they can and do make one's neck and shoulders hurt, this is hard to describe but here go's,
take your right hand and keep your fingers together reach around to the left side of your neck close to the
skull, pull your fingers into the flesh and pull your hand completely around to the right side, do this several
times, and change hands, you will be amazed how good this feels. Peace

Thanks, Larry. I didn't see this until now and I wish I had because it was a rough night. I do think now that maybe it could've been my sinuses too, as when I was going to bed last night I had some swelling around my nose and eyes. Hopefully it stays gone today, but if it flares back up I'll try it.

Ugh, I was feeling better and then this awful headache came back. I need a nap, but obviously can't take one so I guess I just suck it up and wait till my husband gets home to get some rest.

park - i get a lot of headaches too in my neck. mostly they are hormonal i think. but stress and sitting at a desk all day causes them too. hot showers are the best. i take 1/2 a klonopin or a first generation antihistamine sometimes to relax me and in case it's an allergy headache. mine tend to be worse in the winter (dust allergies). i also use a hot rice sock a lot. i also have fiorinol with codeine to take in case of a really bad one. i used to get migraines but now just get tension headaches.

i get a massage too but not from a man. those are never taken seriously. lol

good luck in getting rid of it. are you going through a stressful time right now?

No more stressful than usual, Hazel. :-)

My migraines tend to come when the weather is unusual, so I'm hoping this one passes soon. I've taken a mild muscle relaxer, but that didn't help, so I'm going to pick up my other migraine medication. I take Maxalt and Esgic together and that usually works. I haven't taken Esgic in ages, but it looks like I need it!
