Acer,
A lot of the time anxiety makes us tense muscles without actually being aware that we're doing it in the first place. Fun fact: the brain itself does not have nerve endings, so when we have head pain it's not the brain itself but the surrounding tissue. I'm telling you this because as anxiety sufferers, tense shoulder muscles are so common, and in turn strain the neck which strain the muscles around your head. I used to think I had a brain tumor every time in would have an ache or pain near or around my head. But then I started to do some self massage on my shoulders and neck and it released some tension. Try some deep breathing too. If you can, I also really recommend essential oils for anxiety and for headaches. Peppermint oil droplets on each temple works WONDERS for headaches, and lavendar oil helps anxiety immensely.
Also, being on your period contributes to heightened anxiety, and heightened awareness of benign symptoms. The influx hormones and prostaglandins from menstruation can cause headaches, body aches, and even sometimes mimic the flu.
I guess my 2 years in nursing school paid off a bit :)
We're here for you
