Umm, can I ask a question?

a potentially stupid one, that is...

I am feeling the food going down with rather slow speed when I eat and I feel discomfort actually. Not necessarily when swallowing but after I swallow and the food ends up in stomach entrance.

Q: Is it normal to feel the food all the way? (Yeah I warned ya, a ridiculous question...)

Or... because all of my brain cells migrated to my esophagus lately due to worry, I am totally focusing on that area when eating? Or because of tense muscles and spasms due to anxiety?

Anxiety has caused many self awareness of swallowing, pains, and other weird body sensations. I think we overthink and pay to much attention to stuff that we shouldn't

I think so too. I know when I hyper-focus on something I always feel more sensations and weird things. I'm sure it is just that right now.

For some reason I developed that fear of esophageal cancer lately, even though I know not all reflux become cancer. Actually, MOST of it won't become cancer, not even Barrett's. And it's even more rare in my age.

Jennings - I actually mostly have/had heartburn and pain at night time. But I don't have Endoscopy/Barium proven dr diagnose. Just once I went to dr for digestion issues and he asked me to try antacids, that's all. No tests, nothing.
It's just that I started noticing (because I focus a lot when eating) that the food sort of having hard time sliding down. Actually first I got this fear slowly, then I had hard time swallowing the food down smoothly.

Now my chest bone hurts also :/ A bit worried.
