Does anybody feel the same as me?

I always feel my legs tense and weak, my hands and feet are cold most of the time. I tend to dwell on it most of the day and it triggers panic attacks. I take .25 mg Ativan and it doesn't work, I'm suppose to take 1 mg twice daily, but I panic when I take half cause I have a medication phobia.

Yes I have had those symptoms all caused by anxiety I understand your medication phobia a lot of members here have that.

I would ask your doctor about a referral for some talking therapy such as CBT as I think you will find that really helpful.

Your Rx can be taken as needed...

It should shut down an attack if you take it just as you feel an attack coming on...

...but .25 is likely too small a dose to make a difference.

Why not try half, or even the 1mg? If you've no ill effects with the .25, then you will be fine with your full recommended dose.

I know it can be scary to take a med...but benzos have a good reputation as having very little side effects. You may feel drowsy, but that is about it.:)
