Sharp Shooting pains underneath left breast? (Male )

Hello,

Yesterday I was having sharp shooting pains in the area which felt below my heart and above my rib cage. It was sometimes sharp shooting pains whenever I tried to breath and or just randomly and then go away.

I have heard so many things can cause chest pains . I just don't know if it was my anxiety that made it worse or what it was. I took my clonazepam and I was somewhat okay after that .

As a matter of fact just sitting here and thinking about it is making me get the pains again . I am also taking vyvanse and I do not know if that is starting to have a serious impact on my anxiety. Yesterday I made the mistake of taking my medicine when I had caffeine from coffee a few hours previously.

What ensued was a day of being jittery along with sharp stabbing shooting pain below my left breast. I just do not know what to do anymore. I feel like my anxiety is getting worse and worse .

I used to make myself believe I had some sort of disease and now that I have been tested for everything it as if I am focusing on every symptom that I think can be a heart attack

I have been to the ER several times in the past and agree with what Larry said cause the ER doc told me the same thing. Sharp pains aren't typical of heart trouble. They can be caused by many things benign so you don't need to worry about them. My doc said it was anxiety. Believe me, most of us here have had them at one time or another. You're going to be ok.

Yes I get this exact symptom regularly and it's definitely a symptom of stress/anxiety as when I work on reducing my stress/anxiety levels the stabbing pain goes.
