Went to the dentist yesterday but he didn't pull my tooth, said they didn't have time and to come back Thursday to get all 4 of the original teeth I have left pulled and then they will send me for a bottom denture. The prospect of never having to see a dentist again is great and I love it, but I'm terrified to go in tomorrow to have my teeth removed. I have such a fear of dentist it's unreal. Some 20 years ago, a dentist was giving me a numbing shot and missed and hit a nerve, I screamed jumped out of the chair, said some choice words to the dentist and left. I couldn't open my mouth for more then 2 weeks, it was so painful and I'll never forget it. So that started my fear of dentists. I have since them seen a dentist, about 12 years ago I had 12 teeth removed at once and got upper dentures and a bottom partial and it went okay, but I took valuim and I don't have that to take this time. Anyway, guess I'm done ranting, lol.

Poor yo AngelLisa, I can't bear dentists either! Hope it goes well for you.

A while ago when I was pretty much at Rock bottom my GP referred me to adult mental health services for an assessment. I had already previously self referred myself to the low level community team who tend to do a bit of CBT, and they said to also do their assessment. Anyway the community team got back to me and said that after consideration, the adult mental health team would be putting in place some treatment for me and they will be writing to me to tell me what!

I have no idea what to expect. Part of me is a bit scared as I fully expected them to tell me that I didn't need their services. I am also scared because I have a young daughter and worry that somehow they will want to assess how I am with her! However, I aldi think that I probably could do with a bit more than CBT to get to the bottom of my anxiety....
