Up the Zoloft ? Or change to a different med? Advice plz :/

Hey guys ,,
Well I'm feeling Alot BETTER than before that's for sure , I haven't had a full blown panic attack in 6 weeks , I came close a few times,, but it's a huge improvement , I got daily panic attacks before I started the Zoloft .
I still get anxiety while I'm out and about , I do get out even went to the mall the other day , I made my self do it because I was anxious about going but I need to push my self in order to get better ,
But i still get pretty bad anxiety about going far or my hubby is talking about a vacation that's he's ready to go and I can't even imagine me on a airplane with no fresh air and no escape , I can just see death Written all over that 😳,,

Do any meds take the panic away completely where I can live a normal life , travel and all ?
You guys think I should add another med on top of the Zoloft or up the Zoloft a bit ?
Ive been on Zoloft for 7 weeks 25mg and the last 3 days I went up to 50 ,
It really helped but not enough to beat the Agorophobia all the way , although I've traveled further than I have in months but still not relaxed at all during the drives .
Thnx guys any advice would be helpful !!

You can always discuss it with your dr first. I would go with 50 mg for a while, at least 3-4 weeks before upping the dose. 50 mg is still considered as a low dose when it comes to Zoloft (from my experiences and dr discussions). But still it is different for everyone so I recommend getting your dr's opinion before deciding.

Though, for occasional issues like airplane (it is also my horror lol) you can always try medicines which have fast calming effects, like benzos. Just keep them near and pop one before flight. Then, you will be above the clouds. Literally... xD

I agree with Inci. Since you only have been at 50 mg for 3 days, you are probably not reaping the benefits yet. You will probably see a difference in a couple weeks:)

I agree with the others, I've seen how much you've progressed on the 25mg and you've only been on the 50mg for 3 days I would wait a couple more weeks and see how you feel, I bet you'll be feeling better then ever.

I am so glad that you are feeling better...great news!!

Keep up the good work of getting through your start up....and for futher reinforcement in terms of dealing with the agoraphobia, continuing (or starting?) your therapy program should yield the positive and lasting results you desire.:)

Well firstly, big congrats on your progress.
I can see that you are actually stronger than you think because you still venture out regardless of how you feel! That is so great!!!
Since you have responded to well to the initial dose, I would say that this increase will be even more benefit to you.
Keep on mind, that meds won't change the way we think, so using cognitive skills will help alot.
I'm confident that you will see even more relief soon.
Give this dose some time to settle in and go from there.

Lisa , it's so true the meds dont change the way you think , I still have same thoughts and same fears but my anxiety is just lessened .
It's so nice that you guys are here for support and help when needed.

Yea I think I will wait a little bit more on the 50 and see if it helps more , I went to the mall today I turned around on the way there , but than I just pushed me self and told my self I had to do it , and I did still was anxious but I did it , bought my self 500$Marc Jacobs bag as a reward lol, when my hubby seen the receipt he said I think I liked you more when you stayed home haha 😁lol

Ahh I can't wait to get better all the way and get all dolled up and go out with freinds with my hubby on a date ,, I'm hoping and praying that I will get better and better with time ..

Aw thank you barb , I still have a hard time leaving my house but I know it's a process ..
