My symptoms are really scaring me. I can't sleep without waking up freaking out.

But has anyone felt a tingly/restless/crawling feeling from your forehead and cheeks to your arms and chest, even when you are "calm" and not freaking out? It comes and goes all day, and I wake up with it (I think because I am thinking about it even while asleep, I hope). I was fine like 95% of yesterday, but this morning it's so bad. I feel like my skin is crawling, and I get shivers a lot. My arms and head where like this before I took the medicine. I am worried about a brain tumor, and I haven't looked up the symptoms of one... I am just afraid there is one sitting on a part of my brain and making me tingly. I just want to scream, I am driving myself crazy!! Please help :(

When we are experiencing anxiety...and by this I mean in a general sense...not jus of the moment anxiousness...

...we can have all kinds of these sensations! Our minds and bodies are on high alert!

The tingling sensations are a common symtpom, a lot of nerves are stimulated when we are stressed...and breathing improperly can cause paresthesia, a common numb/tingling feeling.

Doing breathing exercises and other stress relieving exercises will help.

Practice these daily, and you should be able to reduce your symptoms significantly.;)

We over-think and over-analyze and are hypersensitive to our thoughts and our bodies when we have anxiety issues and it can be so hard to break out of the cycle - I know!

Do your best to be here now and be engaged in something that is enjoyable and requires your full attention.

It's so much easier said than done, but it can be done. You can do it and you will get past this.

I wish I had more specific and better advice for you.

I have found that sometimes meditation works - other times, I can barely sit still for it and the silence brings out more thoughts.

Yoga helps me a lot though it. I also took up knitting, which can occasionally help when I make up my mind to make something specific for someone.

Even just a funny tv show or movie can sometimes snap me out of it.

There is also a technique I use called "tapping" or EFT (google it if you are interested), where you acknowledge your physical sensations and your emotional responses while tapping certain pressure points which has been helpful for me in the past and my therapist uses with me at times of high anxiety.
