OMG SC!!! I think it's both!
Since it's been 10+ years, the material they use now may be slightly different and I may be having a reaction to that!
As for No.2, I was actually talking about this with my friend the other day! I may have developed an intolerance since my previous dental work which was a decade ago! Wow. That's a pretty long time.
You know what SC, my previous dental work was done almost right after a very close person in my life passed. After then I know my body has changed along with my immune system from all the stress and grief. I got sick for few years and was housebound.
My lifestyle changed in these 10 years...I am not out in the sun like I used to be. The only good thing is that I've eliminated a lot of junk food, preservatives, artificial ingredients, processed foods, oil, caffeine, soda, fried food from my diet. I eat mostly organic!
I think my diet has made me more sensitive to unnatural ingredients and even chemicals. The skin around my mouth gets irritated often if I have a bit of toothpaste left on it! I didn't have mcdonalds for so many years (8 years!!!) and when I tried a cheeseburger (lol), I got a horrible stomach pain from it!
I think you just found the answer to my problem SC! I see there has been some changes in my body's tolerance level because all of the above! Now this makes PERFECT sense to me!
