Do you think about
panic and anxiety every day? I think I just realized that I think about
it every day, on and off, all day.
I'm really hoping my new therapist can help me learn not to do this.

Megan,
Subconsciously I'm sure.

It makes me sad. I realize that I'm still in a place where anxiety and panic attacks dictate a lot of what I do. It's an enormous bummer.

I do think about
it sadly all day everyday , it's so hard not to be afraid of it and that makes my thoughts always thinking about
it and fearing it .
I hope one day I won't be afraid of them .
I've had them maybe 200 times before but everytime they happen I think that will be the deadly one for sure . Ugh anxiety is STUPID I hate it ..

Whether it's on a conscious or subconscious level I definitely think about
it all day, everyday.

Yep. Everyday. But the fear is at a lower level than it used to be. So I'll take that as an improvement:)
Hopefully someday it will not be part of our everyday thoughts.

Absolutely yes....and just the thinking about
it gives me MORE anxiety! I can be feeling pretty good and then I think "when will it return" and immediately it starts too. But just the fact that it's on our minds all the time is enough to drive you batty. I feel so bad for all of us....nobody knows how much we suffer in silence.

I feel glad to know it's not just me, but I also feel sad that there are other people out there who just can't shut it out. It's weighing on me a lot lately.

Its very hard to break the cycle...and I don't always succeed. But sometimes I force myself (and I mean FORCE) to go out and do something, anything to try and occupy my mind....grocery shopping, visit my grandsons, whatever...hoping that it will take my mind off myself. Sometimes it works, even if temporarily, and thats a small victory but any victory is good I guess.

Its always on my mind. Well, my heart is. I think ok what are you gonna do today? And like clockwork it will "say hello" with an increase in heartbeat or a slow pounding. I threaten a Xanax and she calms down some. Day by day, all I can do.

Megan, this answer is for everyone here, i don't hear much about
group therapy now days but the reason
my wife and i loved it was this, as time go's along everyone picks up on little things that help, well in
group we shared those things and it was amazing, I can imaging what it would be like if we had a skype
group from HW that could talk for an hour of so several times a week, Peace to all.

Larry,
I have a friend who has panic disorder and he constantly recommends group. I would love to do that.
