Hi Shay and welcome.
I am so sorry to hear of all you are going through...I know how difficult it is, so you are understood and not alone here!
Is your therapist your school counselor...or a private practice professional? How long have you been attending sessions regularly?
Besides practicing the breathing techniques, do you have other coping techniques that you employ? Journaling, CBT worksheets, positive mantras, meditation, progressive muscle relaxation, ect...can all be combined to help break the cycle of anxiety and panic.
If your school counselor is not the one helping you...can you reach out to him/her? The more help you have the better!
Below are some links that I think could be helpful to you as far as self help goes.
Practicing these daily will help.
Can you also ask your therapist about
getting started on some CBT material/worksheets to help you with reducing your worried thoughts...which will in turn reduce you anxiety. (CBT=Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an effective method of treating anxiety/panic.)
Trying these things should help you progress.:) Keep posting with us as well for support. We care and are here to listen anytime!
