Hi there, I'm into guided meditation, or using a mantra. It really does help you focus on the here and now, rather than have your mind free to wander all over the place!
You should try it!
You can even go onto youtube and find some type of meditative music like zen, or binaural beats to help you through.
Some people like to use a word like ohm or whatever suits your fancy.
