Hello,
I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder a few years ago. about 10 years ago, I also had anxiety and began to experience these weird head rushes, out of no where. The first one happened while I was sitting down - 10 years ago - and since then, I have had them only once in a while.
Once, during an episode, I actually cried out in fear "ahhh".
They always pass, they aren't constant and I have never physically fainted. Just the sensation of fainting. Directly afterwards I feel panicked and worried about the cause. I have been able to "forget" about them in the past, but, I had an episode again yesterday, that came out of nowhere, and for whatever reason, I am terribly worried it will happen again. I think this is because I am scheduled for a trip on Tuesday and am worried of it happening on the plane etc.
They last only a few seconds (5-10 seconds) but I have the distinct feeling of "pressure" / or like I am going to pass-out, a sensation of buzzing /pressure my ears and sometimes I need to grip on to things.
They happen sitting or standing, can go months without having one, but they freak me out.
Over the years, for other things, I have seen an ENT and had a CT scan (normal). When I mentioned this particular occurrence to my GP they just looked at me like I was crazy.
I am wondering if anyone else experiences the same thing? Similarly, I am interested in knowing if anyone has had any success in curing them?
Thank you,
