Hi Everyone,
It's been awhile since I've been on. Was doing better for awhile but recently I've started having issues again. Loss of appetite, nausea, and stomach issues have arisen again. I still have my shortness of breath almost all the time. I was taking Buspar which seemed to help for about a week and then stopped. Doctor gave me Zoloft last week which I only took twice and had some major side effects that I didn't want to continue. The first night I took it I was up all night. I only slept for about 20 minutes in a 36 hour period. I ended up having to take an Ativan in order to go to sleep. So right now I'm trying to work through it on my own.
I've developed this new symptom which I don't think is related to anxiety but it's defintely causing me some major stress at the moment. Seems that everytime I'm out in the sun or under flourscent lighting for any period of time my face and chest feels like it's burning and starts to itch. It doesn't turn red but just feels like it's tight and on fire. Benadryl helps some but not a lot. So for the past week I've basically been shut up in the house when I get home from work. It's really bothering me cause I had a scare a few years ago when I was having similar symptoms (but I was taking prednisone at the time) and the doctor thought I had lupus because my ANA bloodwork came back positive. After more bloodwork she ruled it out because everything else came back negative. I guess that's been a lingering fear of mine since then. I did ask my new doctor about my sudden UV sensitivity and she didn't seem to be to concerned about it. Told me to take zrytec and benadryl and use sunscreen and see if that helped.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? The last couple of times I've had this problem has been when I've been under a huge amount of stress. I haven't changed any of my skin care products and I've actually stopped using them the last few days to see if there was any improvement.
