Hey guys...so just when I thought my night issue of waking to to a fast heartbeat/labored breathing was getting better, it's back with a vengeance last night. I have an appointment on the 26th with a pulmonary doctor/probably a sleep study...but i'm just so confused by these symptoms & they really worry me wondering if it's doing something bad to my heart. I don't get it every night..so if it's a sleep apnea type thing..does that come & go? I fell asleep last night around midnight..slept ok (as far as I know) until 3:45am..woke up and initially didn't really feel anything (like no actual pounding in my chest) but felt my pulse and I didn't count but was probably around 85-90 bpm, and I felt like I was breathing faster than normal (not necessarily short of breath..just the sense of breathing fast) took a xanax and fell back to sleep, but kept waking up about every hour after with same symptoms. I don't know how to explain how it feels but I know when i'm gonna have these episodes all night long, because I can feel it in my breathing and heart. Even after laying there and getting my heart to slow down, as soon as I turn over or move it kinda shoots right up and starts over again. Then when I wake up for the morning and get up, this specific issue goes away. Although during the day I do randomly get that breathing feeling..like fast breathing/hard to breathe. Xanax doesn't help it, I take my beta blocker and that doesn't help what happens at night. I have Hashimotos and the one goiter on my thyroid is pretty big..can this be causing it all?! Could this be really hurting my heart? I'm so frustrated and just want to sleep normal again!!!
