Yes, SC. Normally, I feel like I have the flu. This time is different though.
I have sinus symptoms with drainage, scratchy sore throat, and bit of a cough.
I thought at first it was just because I cried so hard, and then I thought maybe I did catch something from one of the kids at VBS last week.
Now, I've found my thinking cap again, and realize that it is actually an allergic reaction. I worked on a very detailed craft yesterday, in an attempt to keep the old mind busy.
It was an outdoor chandelier type thing made with wire and beads. I was clearing my work space today, and saw a caution note on the side of the beads. It said it was not intended for kids under 13, because it could contain lead dust. :O
I noticed they were dusty, and flaky when I was working with them. Of course I dumped them in a large bowl, so I could pick out different ones as I went along stringing them on the wire. I must have breathed in a bunch of it, and it is really irritating my respiratory system. My lungs have started burning as well today. I'm not running a fever, but am sneezing, coughing, and just feeling icky.
I'm allergic to myself and others, so I'm used to having major allergy attacks, but this is quite uncomfortable. I am gargling with warm salt water, irrigating my sinuses, and doing breathing treatments, so hopefully I'll get it out of my body soon.
I will for sure read labels before working with beads in the future.
