Zoloft! How long and what dosage?

Wondering if there are others out there that have been on zoloft as long as I have and at what dosage? I have taken it for 8 years and I'm currently at 200mg. How is everyone doing....is it still helping w depression , anxiety and panic...
I'm thinking I may need a change but wanted to hear from you all too.

Hi

I have never taken Zoloft but I have taken similar and have always found they poop out after a couple of years in my case so I have been on many AD.

I would say if you are feeling it is not helping with your anxiety and depression to go back and speak with your doctor about the options you have.

Hi Gram, I agree with Hibee and talking to your doctor is the best avenue. I've been on several AD's including zoloft, but I don't think I've been on any for longer then maybe 3 years so I'm not much help. I've heard the same as Hibee that sometimes they poop out after so long. I hope you and your doctor can come up with a plan, let us know how it goes.

Grams, I don't have any advice, as I've never taken Zoloft either, but wanted to say that I hope you and your doc can figure this out together.

I would tend to think that our bodies would build up a tolerance to any AD after a couple of years or so.

Best of luck in figuring it all out.

Hi Grams....I have taken Zoloft for 7 years at 100mgs for anx/panic and I didn't realize how well it worked until I got off of it. Zoloft did not seem to taper out for me. Also coming off of the drug by titrating down was not too difficult as well, if you are wondering. You do feel wierd and that can be expected. The reason I stopped taking it was bc it was working well. But if you feel change is in order then talk to your dr. I hope this helps!!
