Its weird and I wonder if anyone else has ever gone through this. In this period of a year and 8 months…the first 13-14 months my anxiety and depression was basically racing thoughts, shaking body, sweating, freaking out, hyperventilating, crying etc…now the past 4 months its been more of like a queasy feeling, and bodily pain because when I'm anxious (and most of the time I don't even know it!!) my arms, shoulders and neck hurt. Can anxiety symptoms really change from time to time and in severity? Its not as bad as it used to be but as I was thinking about it today it really made me go "what the hell?"

Symptoms can certainly morph...and come back full circle after time...

...the past two days I have had a symptom I have not had in months!

Keep working on your treatment plan and coping skills!

Yes they can change, I've been dealing with anxiety off and on for over 30 years and I can't tell you how many symptoms I've had over the years and how often they have changed.

As SC said, Keep working your coping skills. :)

As my Pop often said, "It's always something and it always will be." I take some kind of bizarre comfort when I'm upset. My mind tells me, "You'll get over this and move onto something else to worry about, you nutjob. Yeah, that previous thing will creep in, but as the days pass, that problem will dwindle and dwindle." Just listen to Scaredy. She knows her stuff.

Angel, you and I are so much alike. I too have had anxiety issues off and on for about 30 years and though some symptoms are the same, some new ones happen, others go away. It's just too weird...
