Hi I just got out of class n it was really freezing cold I was shivering and all that. I'm currently trying to face my feared situation and the shivering has upped my anxiety levels making it a tad more difficult..
I also feel like I've lost touched with my coping skills since I haven't been familiarizing with it recently. It's like I panic and I don't know where to start calming down/what positive thoughts to leech on.
Just wanted to get this out thank u for this forum for just being here

Hi BR,
How about
starting with this mantra:
"This is just anxiety causing me to worry and making me feel this way."
Keep reminding yourself that physical sensations are normal...and heightened with stress.
You are focusing in on the shivering as a red flag...when in fact anyone would feel the same after sitting still for a prolonged period in AC.
I still notice my physical symptoms...though now I can note them...accept them...and let them go.
This has taken time and practice...but you will get there too!!!.:)
With encouragement,
S.C.

Hi BR
You have received some good support from SC above.
All I would add is to revisit your coping skills and start using them again it is quite easy to get out of the habit of using them I have done this many times. The more you use them the easier things will become and you will notice the benefits.
It can take a while to master these skills but well worth the effort.

Hi hibee
For some reason I can't see SC's reply?
Anyway yea I've been slacking off the skills bc of school n everything being really busy I barely have any time for myself. Every day I'm exhausted with school work but I try my hardest to at least mediate before sleep. Feeling pretty guilty about
not being faithful/dedicated enough to self improvement I hope the hols come quick..
I'm gonna try to find time to review my concepts n skills again

Breathenrelax, can you see SC post now? If not you might of put her on ignore accidently by clicking on the little down thumbs icon on the upper right of a post. To fix this go to your profile and the last tab there says Edit Ignored Users check that if SC is there just unclick it to unignore her.
