I had a trigger finger operation 3 months ago and still hampered by problems of swelling and some pain. But I'm wondering if what the Dr did before the actual surgery may be the cause of my lingering problem. On.my first visit , he convinced me of a procedure that he had done 39 times and successful 37 of those 39 times. I of course wanting to avoid surgery if possible allowed him to do a sterile needle to go through the skin and try to rip the sheath thus eliminating my trigger finger problem. He wasn't successful, and he tried 4 times, although there wasn't much pain, just the weird feeling of things ripping in the area. After 4 unsuccessful attempts, hr decided that surgery was needed. He didn't wait long to do the surgery, only long enough for me to have the necessary time to have the test done. It seems that I'm experiencing a double whammy of subcutaneous tissue scarring. And yes, I did all the required therapy as it's my only dependable hand. I'm continue to do the exercising with hope that my finger will get back to some normalcy. Now my other ring finger is exhibiting trigger finger symptoms. But now I'm not so sure that having another trigger finger surgery giving the problems in currently I'm having presently. Sorry this story is so long, but my situation seems unique compared to the other situations I've read about. Any theorys out there?
