Hello All,
As I have mentioned in previous posts , I am currently on Vyvanse as a total treatment plan to help with anxiety. I do not expect anyone to know for sure the answer but any advice would be great.
Just briefly: Vyvanse is a stimulant given to people with ADHD as well as being used in as apart of a total treatment plan. It boosts heart rate due to the fact it is a stimulant.
I have talked to my doctor and he says it is okay to workout while on this medication. I have read a lot online stating that essentially it is not good for your heart because you have the stimulant working in it as well as the physical exertion from exercise. My issue is, is that I am already overweight (but trying to lose weight) and am sure the medication is having effects on my blood pressure. I feel my heart pounding at times. I used to always go workout on this medication but now I have become very heart aware for some unexplained reason.
So I guess my question is, is it me overthinking things and would I would be fine working out? This is a long acting medication and I can definatley feel it still in my system. I just don't want to stress my body off more then it can handle.
