Postive Experiences Taking Zoloft and Lamictal Together

Welcome to the forum but sorry to hear you have been dealing with anxiety/depression.

When you increase a dosage it seems to be the norm for your symptoms to increase before settling back down again after a couple of weeks so stick with it if you can and keep in touch with your doctor.

Medication will only help ease your symptoms they are not a cure all so I think it is best to do some type of talking therapy such as CBT or Mindfulness Mediation which both get great results so ask your doctor about getting a referral next time you see them.

Thank you for your replies Scaredy and Hibee. I appreciate your responses. I've done CBT which has helped me a lot. I just want to know if there are positive experiences with these meds and if the Zoloft (sertraline) dosage increase will help me. Does it take a while for it to work?
Wish I could hear positive experiences with these meds.

I have just done the same, increased Zoloft to 100 and I definitely got increased anxiety. I had anxiety before as well. I am also taking pregabalin 100 which is supposed to help with anxiety. I joined this forum because there is somuchsupport and information.I had psychiatrists tell me you should not
Have anxiety when going on Zoloft! meanwhile my heart was coming out of my chest. Fortunately I have a gp that focuses on mental health and he said definitely when you go on ssri's or increase, you get anxiety.

I probably would have stopped the Zoloft but I had already been through 4 other antidepressants all of which I got anxiety on and 2 which made me extremely tired. I decided to stick through it with Zoloft, just to give it a chance. It has not been easy, but the doctors keep saying I am extremely sensitive. I have clonazepam to help with anxiety. The initial antidepressant they gave me gave me extreme anxiety and I stopped, then I tried paxil which I was on before and got the anxiety again and stopped. If the psychiatrist had said you have to get through the first few weeks or so I might have stuck it out with the paxil but they kept telling me I shouldn't have this side effect etc. Sorry for the run on, but that is why I am sticking with the Zoloft. I also take seroquel at night which is for sleep. I was feeling almost normal and the I had a job offer and my anxiety went up. That's why he increase the Zoloft to 100. I would give it a chance, but maybe your Dr. Can give you something to get through those initial few weeks. Best regards
