I have severe, chronic allergies. It causes chronic fatigue, because the body is always fighting something. There isn't a time, except 3 weeks during August when nothing can grow, that I don't have head pressure.
It really drags you down. It definitely fuels my anxiety when I get an allergy exacerbation. I was convinced I had strep since I was exposed to it. It is just allergies, and they can be pretty miserable.
Give yourself a break, gargle with warm salt water, and drink water with lemon to dry out that mucus.
I also do sinus rinses. It feels like you're waterboarding yourself at first, but you get the hang of it, and then can't believe how much "stuff" is hidden up there. You can't get it out with simple nose blowing, etc.
I take zyrtec every day all year. During spring and fall, I add in Claritin to help get what they zyrtec is missing. I'm not suggesting you do this without consulting a doc, just sharing my experience.
