Hi Rephael,
Great job on hanging in there through the rough start up period of your Rx! You did well in recognizing the initial effects, and pushing through to this point. You are making progress, and getting there! :)
As far as your question regarding feelings of reservation in facing down tasks/requirements...
This is a common thing for many people with anxiety. I believe it to be twofold in nature...
For one, simply mangaging anxiety takes much out of us...leaving us little reserve for tasks other than daily 'survival/maintenance'. At the end of the day...or the beginning for that matter...even small requirements can seem like a looming mountain to climb!
The other factor often is fear of failure, or ability to fulfill our tasks. Anxiety shakes our confidence, and we end up with feelings like, "Why even try?" We feel defeated before we even give ourselves a chance...
I think pushing a little each day is a good way to approach this. Chip away at the mountain! Doing nothing will lead to stagnation...and we will become buried eventually. Trying to do too much will overwhelm...
...but a moderate push to go slow and steady, everyday is a plan where we can succeed!
I always feel so much more capable of completing a job, if I can only get a good start to it. I don't have to finish it all at once...I have trained myself to see things in grey rather than black or white...all or nothing! I can do a little, and come back to it when I am able.:)
I hope this helps in some way...this is simply my approach...you will need to find what is in your comfort zone of course.
I am sorry, I am pretty unfamiliar with NLP. Is this something that can be instrumental for anxiety management? I know it is good for personal growth and success in a professional arena/vocation...and I would guess might help with social anxiety?
I wish you continued progress with your new regimen! Keep us posted and well keep you cheered on in your journey.:)
