Alright, so please bear with me here for a moment. I'm a teen attending college parttime, been on zoloft for about 5 years. about 3 or so years ago, I developed GI problems (acid reflux, excessive belching, IBS like symptoms).
After I eat, I get this pressure in my chest- it's relieved once I belch, until I need to belch again (approximately 30 seconds later). It's over in like 2 minutes, but feeling the gas pressing on my chest and feeling as though I can't breathe for a moment or two is very scary.
So, does anybody else get excessive belching as a side effect of zoloft? It's incredibly embarassing- I try to muffle it/keep my mouth closed, but I know others can hear it.
Is it the meds, or am I just going crazy? Most people say the side effects go away, but this has been happening for years.... Any similar experiences out there?
